The Role

We are seeking a passionate Motion Designer ready to push creative boundaries and execute dynamic and compelling motion content for our wide variety of clients. This person has industry and leadership experience along with the hustle and growth mindset that match our values. They should possess the ability to create visually cohesive narratives through animation with a polished and innovative approach. As the needs of our design team evolve, this person is adaptable and can multitask while maintaining high-quality standards. They are curious, bold, and determined to tackle any project with gravitas. This position reports to the Head of Creative.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the motion design team, encouraging professional growth while ensuring a harmonious and productive work environment
• Establish consistent processes for handling multiple motion projects simultaneously, ensuring efficiency and quality results
• Seek and determine ways to effectively integrate motion into current and upcoming projects 
• Bring fresh, innovative ideas to ongoing projects while maintaining our brand vision and objectives.
• Proactively problem-solve and tweak processes to create a streamlined workflow
• Effectively work with animation, audio, and visual effects to create moving content and graphics for various media
• Create high-quality motion work that elevates our visual identity and engages our audience across digital platforms. 
• Clearly communicate the strategy and thought process behind the motion graphics, occasionally in a presentation format.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Figma and AfterEffects 
• Familiarity with Cinema 4D
• Strong understanding of motion graphics principles
• A clear understanding of pacing, color, and visual hierarchy 
• Clear communication skills for effective project guidance and coordination
• Strong organizational and time management skills to maintain project schedules
• An autonomous work style, showing initiative, managing tasks independently, and demonstrating self-motivation and responsibility
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor
• Familiarity with project management tools
• Exceptional attention to detail
• A collaborative approach 
• A positive, ego-free, team player attitude
